Israeli Society 101

This walk introduces you to Israeli society, its complexities, and the major social issues that it faces today. It does this by exposing different characteristics of Israel's society and tying them to landmarks we see in the center of Tel Aviv. We will go into issues of religion, gender, ethnicity, economic inequality and economic development, housing, the military-civic axis, and political partisanship. At the end of this walk you will have a better understanding of forces that unite and divide Israeli society, and on how the oddities that you see in Israel came to be.
